1.0 INTRODUCTION

    Projek's Project Management Institute (PMI) , Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Project Management Training Programs for Property and Facilities Managers support the practical day to day use of project management methodologies in a real property management work environment
2.0 BACKGROUND
    Projek, has over 20 years of experience delivering Project Management Services to the building development industry and over 10 years of experiences in delivering Infrastructure Management and IT / IS Solutions to the Real Property industry including PWGSC, Canadian Heritage, Nunavut Construction Corporation, PWGSC, Utilities and Management Services, AT&T Canada and The University of Ottawa, Physical Resources.

      Project Management Training Experience:

      Projek's unique knowledge of the construction and building development industry and "e"- project delivery business solutions combined with resources with extensive experience in addressing government and private sector-training challenges has successfully facilitated the education of large groups of students, with a wide variety of technical experience at PWGSC, Real Property and Facilities Branch, Regional Municipality of Ottawa Carleton, AT&T Canada, National Construction Operations.

      Customized Project Management Training Case Studies:

      Projek's resources have extensive experience working with organizations in customizing (designing and developing) project management training course case studies.

3.0 OVERVIEW
    Implementing modern project planning and control processes requires an investment in time and people. People must be given the opportunity to properly train for the improved efficiency and effectiveness expected of them and must be motivated to adapt new ways of operating. For this to happen they need to have a thorough understanding of the practical application of the methodologies as they relate to their business processes.

    In this regard Projek Design and Development Inc. with its experience in the building development industry uses resources with practical hands on construction management experience. This approach will result in enhanced buy-in to the new methodologies and techniques.

4.0 COURSE OBJECTIVE:
    Provide appropriate training in project management methodologies that will allow your staff to obtain the project management skills necessary to confidently mange their work from conception to delivery using PMI based processes and procedures.
5.0 GOALS:
    Provide a Project Management trainer(s) that is / are experienced in delivering construction project management training that has / have previous experience delivering project management training to property and facilities managers.

    Provide an off the shelf PMBOK based project management training course that includes a customized module that is focused on construction within a Property and Facilities management work environment.

6.0 SCOPE:
    A 3 day comprehensive Introductory Project Management course consistent with the terminology and principals of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) including
    1. covering the entire project cycle as defined by the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
    2. case studies and examples that focus on construction within a Property and Facilities Management environment.
      Accommodate 20- 25 participants
      Courses and course materials in either English or French in classrooms facilities provided by the client
7.0 DELIVERABLES
    As requested in the Request for Proposal, Projek Design and Development Inc. will :
  1. Delivery of the course
  2. Course Materials
  3. Daily Attendance sheet
  4. Evaluation questionnaire
  5. End of course report
  6. Participant certificates upon course completion
  7. Define and develop a customized case study to specifically meet PWGSC, Real Property and Facilities Branch staff requirements.
8.0 GENERAL APPROACH
    Projek Design and Development Inc. proposes to:
  1. Establish the primary functionality requirements for the training
  2. Examine the off the shelf training plan and make adjustments to the duration and length of the training modules based on the functionality requirements identified above
  3. Establish the project authorities reporting requirements and determine the structure and content of the attendance sheets, evaluation questionnaires and suite of reports required
  4. Review evaluations with the project authority and discuss feedback from each course
  5. Prepare a closing report recommending any additional follow up training, mentoring and or support plans to satisfy on going requirements
9.0 OPTIONAL TASKS
    We understand the difficulty of work scoping and definition. Projek Design and Development Inc. will be pleased to support any additional effort deemed appropriate on a per diem basis.
