PWGSC, RPS, AES, PMD embraces ASP web technology for project delivery

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), Real Property Service Branch (RPS), Architectural and Engineering Services (AES), Project Management Directorate (PMD) has recently embraced web technologies to facilitate the delivery of real property projects. As recently as 2000, projects have employed individual project websites as a means of communicating construction/renovation details to various stakeholders that are required to be consulted with to successfully deliver a project. These stakeholders include client(s) for whom the work is being done, consultants and contractors from the Architectural and Engineering Community and senior managers within PWGSC. At present, it is not practical to provide access for everyone to the PWGSC intranet and/or shared drives, however project websites have been able to bridge the gap as long as stakeholders can log onto the Internet.

Consistent with both its Strategic Plan and Business Plan, RPS requires the ability to deliver projects in a timely manner, on behalf of its clients. One of the most important aspects to fulfilling this objective is clear communication amongst all project participants. It is intended that a web based application will aid in the amplification and effective communication between all stakeholders in the timely delivery of real property projects.

Key aspects to effective communication in project delivery include background information; project charters / investment analysis reports; project briefs; minutes; design options; scheduling; contact list; selected design renderings; progress reports and photos. Many clients of PMD have stated that they value this tool, not only because of the information that is available on it, but that it is accessible on 24 hour, 7 day-a-week basis from anywhere that has Internet access.

Je tiens à remercier sincèrement les membres du comité organisateur lesquels ont consacré beaucoup de temps et d’énergie afin d’assurer la réussite de cette Soirée des Vins.

Au nom du Comité Organisateur, je désire remercier tous nos commanditaires sans qui la Soirée des Vins serait impossible et surtout ceux qui supportent cette cause d’année en année.

Nous avons concentré encore cette année beaucoup d’efforts à la qualité de la Soirée des Vins afin que cet évènement devienne une coutume annuelle « à ne pas manquer » pour tous.

Le Réseau Ado saura certainement mettre à profit ces fonds ($10,000). La santé mentale des jeunes de notre région nous tient vraiment à cœur.

Orléans, Canada - The Organizing Committee and the business community, in partnership with the Club Richelieu d’Orléans are very proud to have hosted this 5th edition of our Wine Night organized for the benefit of Youth Net.

I would like to sincerely thank the members of the Organizing Committee who have devoted a lot of time and effort in order to make this Wine Night a success.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I wish to thank all the sponsors, without their valued support the Wine Night would not be possible and specially those who contribute year after year.

Again this year, we have concentrated our efforts on assuring the quality of the Wine Night in the hope that this event will become an annual “can’t miss” event.

La Soirée des vins / Wine Night

Orléans, Canada - Le Comité Organisateur de la Soirée des Vins et les Commanditaires/Partenaires en coopération avec Réseau Ado et l’Hôpital des Enfants de l’Est de l’Ontario (CHEO) vous invitent à aider envers la commandite de la Soirée des Vins qui aura lieu au Musée des Civilisations le 1er novembre 2003.

Les fonds permettront de multiplier les programmes de promotion de la santé mentale et l’intervention précoce conçus pour les jeunes et gérés par les jeunes aux niveaux collégial et universitaire et ainsi prévenir le suicide. Nous croyons fermement que cette initiative bénéficiera la jeunesse au carrefour des décisions difficiles à faire dans leurs vies. Nous apprécierions grandement si vous pouviez commanditer cet évènement prestigieux. Non seulement votre compagnie tirera bénéfice de la publicité, mais votre contribution aidera également aux jeunes gens en besoin d’outils nécessaires pour réussir des difficultés de la vie et la bonne santé mentale.
